I tried to download a .wmv video onto the ipad, but it didn't appear anywhere, and I just want to delete it to free up any space it may have taken.
Any help is a big help, I don't see it on the itunes store, photos, or the video app.

It may not have even been saved on the iPad. iDevices do not natively support/play .wmv files so the iPad would not know what to do with it after the download completed. If you had an app that did support .wmv (I believe that VLC does), you would be prompted on what to do with the file.
So...it is not anywhere at all on the ipad? I do not have any apps that would have supported .wmv....unless pages, pinnacle, or join.me would support those by any chance?
I can't say for sure one way or the other what actually happened to the file but I would assume that the file was purged or not even saved after the download completed since it did not know how to deal with it nor open it. It's hard to say exactly what happened to it.
