I hate the new tags in Mavericks, need coloured folders!!
Is there a way to return the colour folders when using the new tags like the old behavior of labels? These new circle thingees are too small and barely noticable.
OS X Mavericks (10.9)

I'm really Agree with it. It is absolutely useless for me
I work with a lots of folders whole day and now i got problem to find my folders properly and easily as it was in Mountain Lion !
I don't understand why they did not let us to choose the tags or labels opetion by ourselves
The spotlight is working good enough to find and i don't think so that tags can be helpful more !
although we really need the labels and colours back to folders ! it is really disappointing
Whilst understanding the functuanility of the new "Tags" I too am disappointed by the loss of "Labels". This loss will make the make the way I like to personally use my mac filing system a lot harder. Come on Apple, give us back our old labels or a decent App that we can use.

Silly Old Codger ~ Apple Support Communities exist to address technical issues — to send feedback to Apple about OS X, use this form:

Thanks for the reminder.
I have now posted feedback to Apple.

Presumably you're referring to the folder labels rather than the folders (icons) themselves. But this Folders Factory app allows you to easily change the color (and more) of folders:
Although that app has excellent reviews, I haven't tried it. Instead, I've made my own colored folders by following the instructions in the section Changing an item's icon here:
Mac Basics: About icons in OS X
...Here are my resulting folder templates from which I can create a duplicate new folder or modify the color of an existing one:
I feel i lost my Mac when i cannot label my folder colorful like before.
I want to cry. When I have less work to do, I will downgrade my OS. : (
So unhappy.

But it is not as that worked perfectly and super fast with qucik action in Lion and Mountain Lion !
It takes time and waste our time to do one by one !
if you want colorful folders, get the APP FOLDERS FACTORY
I downloaded the Folders Factory, but i still feel super DOWN ! Give me back my old system. 😢
As i said before nothing works like labels in previous OS
😐 I could not wirte my invoices in company for last 2 days because i really feel confued when i look around the folders without coloured labels !
I agree that the new tags are difficult to see. I had hundreds of labelled files which previously stood out so I could find them with a quick glance and now I can barely see the small tags. I'm quite disappointed in this new feature.
I too am very disappointed with the loss of labelling. I like to change the background colour. This feature is useless now as I am unable to colour label so the writing can be seen.
It made using the folders so much easier and added an element of FUN to the whole computer experience!
Is there some way to get this labelling feature back?
I'm actually looking forward to getting Mavericks and using the colored dots.
I really hate this too. With labels you could highlight files too and not just colour folders.
Odd thing is the old way of doing it is still there. I use Modo for my 3D work and if I use something like the open file menu command the finder dialog box that opens uses the old labels style. I tested this with adding 2 tags and the highlight colour takes on whichever tag you last tagged it with.
It's not a fix but hopefully as the functionality is still there there may be some way of adding it back in an update or hack in the future.
Did you use command o over the file? Nothing happened when I tried this. I am so anxious to get my colours back.
