Mar 3, 2014 4:42 PM in response to Madashelluphereby scoop3,I love the way users exploit software with good ideas.
And I worry that designers take good features away to "earn" their salary.
Trying to innovate and discover an edge -- by accident if necessary.
That's fine. So long as they create "Classic" alternatives for their existing customer base.
This is my second day without coloured folders and files.
Sometimes things are better on the second day.
And sometimes they are worse.
I started up, then sat fixated for a moment, unable to proceed to the next step
What was wrong? Not much. Not life-threatening. Just my inefficiency, like I had worked 15 hours straight.
Like steering a boat that has suddenly lost sight of the channel markers.
Wokring harder for the same productivity.
All because some loose cannon conviced Apple that a change was a great new look.
They'll probably sack this hollow man. For re-inventing some other wheel.
But that won't do any good. We may never get back what we had until someone else happens on it perhaps by accident.

Yes has been mentioned hundreds of times, but airing it here will be of no help to convince Apple to reinstall the feature. Only giving feedback
through their proper channels will achieve this if enough people fell and do the same.

Better to use the rod that Apple built for its own back:
Tell other users in the App Store and rate/review Apple's software for what it is.

Reading through you history I am surprised that you use Apple software and products as all you do is tell us all how terrible they are. Windows are making great advancements in 8.1 and I rarely read a bad thing about it in these forums.

Mar 4, 2014 2:34 PM in response to petermac87by Grrregerrr,This is the first OS-related forum I've joined in which to vent frustrations since becoming an Apple-ite in '89. It's also the first free OS upgrade that I can recall, too; an aspect I'm highly grateful for. Still, am I the first to ponder the coincidence?

Mar 4, 2014 3:49 PM in response to petermac87by Peohguy,That's probably what makes it so tuff to take. When excellence has reigned for so long a brief stumble is to some is a glaring misstep.

Mar 4, 2014 3:53 PM in response to Peohguyby petermac87,Excellence? Have you not read the other Forums about the totally unusableSnow Leopard, the tragic and short lived Lion and the disaster that was Mountain Lion and the thousands+ posts about the glaring missteps in them also? Mavericks has not drawn any unusual response.

Hmmm...I thought your posts rang with a highly uninformed sound. Perhaps your time would be served better if you did, instead of replying with childish remarks.

Another example of what I pointed out in the last post. Do you have any on topic technical advice for anyone? Or just trolling with anti-apple comments as usual?
Cheers
