Q: I hate the new tags in Mavericks, need coloured folders!!

I agree! I wouldn't have minded an added Tag feature, that would have been cool, but not overriding the existing folder labels.

I got rid of Mavericks and went backwards because the file/folder can't be highlighted in color, a former mac feature.

It's not only the Office apps that continue to reveal the assigned coloring.  I just found it in a Finder function!

I use a lot of aliases ... and they are often 'broken' -- needing to be fixed.  Selecting to fix a broken alias brings up a navagation browser.  In that view, all the files and folders display their coloring.

Microsoft products are not the only apps that display the labels like it used to  - so do Adobe Products.

Do you get multi-color lines for files with 2 or more Tags?

I found that what ever colour you select first is the colour of the label regardless of the colours you select after

It only recognizes the first color (tag). Also noticed that it does not appear as labels in all Adobe apps - only some.

Let's just ignore that Apple's mistake was to have conflated Tags with colored labels…

PLEASE give me coloured labels back - the dots are dumb - *but leave them there for people who want to tag things too.

I am a visual artist and the coloured labels made my life organisable in amazing ways. Infact give labels back with MORE colours and shades. URGENTLY.....
