Q: I hate the new tags in Mavericks, need coloured folders!!

Is there a way to return the colour folders when using the new tags like the old behavior of labels? These new circle thingees are too small and barely noticable.

As soon as any idiot writes those words the argument is already lost.

Ever notice how threads like this eventually degenerate into nonsense? Sensible discussion turns into ranting and raving, name calling begins, and then the slightly 'off' crowd shows up. Happens all the time. There should be some term for this, similar to Godwin's Law. Godwin's Law states,

"As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."

Please make it clear who you are insulting so I can overreact accordingly.

What is the proper way to get two questions answered?

Why does Mavericks have to disables color labels?

Who made the decision to do away with color labels?

Someone keeps removing my posts because they “contained rants or complaints.”

You call Apple. We are not Apple. Apple doesn't respond to inquiries on this forum.

Also, since you seem to have trouble making a question that doesn't get deleted, you might want to read this: https://discussions.apple.com/___sbsstatic___/apple/tutorial/tou.html

Why does Mavericks have to disables color labels?  They are gone already longer. Why?: ask Apple.

Who made the decision to do away with color labels? Ask Apple.

There is a thrid party app, that can bring them back, but says at the same time that that can cause 'hangs' in the OSX. This tool is called Xtrafinder. I do not recommend it, but perhaps it will bring the light to you....

Someone keeps removing my posts because they “contained rants or complaints.”

Only the moderators can remove posts. Posts are usually removed because they violate the terms and conditions of using these forums. These forums belong to Apple and they make the rules. You do not have free speech rights on a private system. How do the moderators become aware of posts that violate the TOS? Users at level four or above can report posts to the moderators they think are inappropriate. It is still up to the moderators to decide whether to allow or remove a post. Ranting, raving, making threats, spouting scurrilous claims about Apple, will usually get a post removed. We're supposed to be trying to help one another here. It's not a forum for someone to vent their spleens at Apple. There are numerous Apple hating websites for that. Got a complaint or suggestion? Use the feedback route. Want to just vent and spew vitriol at Apple? Go somewhere else.

How do users get points? By solving problems. You get 10 points if someone marks your post as solving their issue. You get 5 points of someone marks your post as 'helping.' For example, you have zero points. That means you haven't helped anyone since you joined these forums.

Only Apple knows. If they won't tell you, they must be keeping it a secret from you.

Don't use the forum to complain loudly at length about a feature you don't like or someone may complain. Generally only the worst are acted on by the mods.

This is a question and answer forum. Use Apple.com feedback you can be as detailed about your complain as you want.

Suitable content for this forum is...

    - Technical question

    - Technical answer

    - Constructive comment
