Q: I hate the new tags in Mavericks, need coloured folders!!

Is there a way to return the colour folders when using the new tags like the old behavior of labels? These new circle thingees are too small and barely noticable.

Still no facts, still no links to support what you say. All adds up to being your (yet another) opinion. And then you chastise others for giving their opinion, which is why no one is really giving much credit to your input. The topic states 'Coloured Folders'. Your rant is on coloured labels. Try finding a thread that accommodates your 'opinions' or else stay on topic.

    Thanks

Can someone tell me how I can stop following this thread by email?

I want emails on other threads but not this one.

I know it's not on topic but I need help with this thread.

Try clicking Follow up top Right and see if it changes it. New site format. Still learning our way around it.

There's a tick in that box you mention and it stays there, but gets dimmed out when I toggle

    For latecomers,

    1. It’s clear that the Great Pomegranate does in fact check this site out to a limited extent, at least, so whining and complaining is quite as in order as technical comments, notwithstanding the contradictory —for example, whining and complaining— admonitions by this discussion’s self-appointed czars. But feedback to the Apple site is likewise in order.

    2. Since March 25, 2014 when grdh20, followed closely and independently by abbelougee, blessed be they, discovered Xtrafinder, we have adequate third party solutions. XtraFinder—free; runs in the background on top of Finder without obscuring Finder— is doing fine for me, and TotalFinder (not free)  is doing fine for some others. Yet others are still not happy. No surprises there.

These little dots are not at all useful for visually sorting on-screen lists of info. Hopefully Apple will return the labels in Yosemite. I cant see any reason to have removed this feature int he first place. Its almost as bad as removing 'save as'.

I was replying to  specific post, did you miss this?

By petermac87 The "in response to petermac87""

Is the cue that this is addressed to one person who did not understand the situation.

    Hi DABbio,

    .... very nicely stated!

Not good to feed the 2 trolls.....they get overexcited and throw their toys around;-)

I do wish Apple would get rid of these useless dots and crappy tags and give us coloured labels again.
