Q: I hate the new tags in Mavericks, need coloured folders!!

Is there a way to return the colour folders when using the new tags like the old behavior of labels? These new circle thingees are too small and barely noticable.

    Have we got an enterprising programmer - someone with the ability to provide a solution via Secrets?

    Hm. I know a few developers, I will ask when I get back from my trip, though they're mostly mobile/web devs, I suppose that's not really the same. If anyone has devs as friends/acquaintances, please run this by them!

    We'll have to wait and see, but Mountain Lion currently has security vulnerabilities which Apple has publicized (here) for the bad guys...

    First of all, Color folders are more for visual clues and Tags are more for sorting, so they are actually two different animals that overlap a bit. Pathfinder and Forklift retain all the existing tags from ML upgrade. Does Xtrafinder retain the ability to do color folders in Mavericks?  In any case, since colored folders carried over from ML Finder to Mavericks in Pathfinder and Forklift, I would assume that it can be tweked on in Finder by the right Developer.  Here's hoping so.

    KEVIN!!!

    You mean...

    1. I won't have to revert back to Mountain Lion - which I was never on to begin with

    2. I won't have to install Pathfinder or other app that sits above my operating system which is not really ideal

    3. I won't have to wait months for Apple to possibly, just maybe, most likely *not* fix the issue?

    and 4.... drumroll...

    will no longer have to submit feedba... oh, crap, where is that URL again, ****.... misplaced it, I know it's here somewhere... uh... hmmm... maybe someone could forward that to me again, oh that would be truly helpful you know, because some people here are just oh so ready to be oh so helpful in this regard.

    Tongue firmly pointed at those people. ;-)

    //Anyone hear that buzzing?

    Do you know if there's a tweak for tags? or just hoping?

    If there is a tweak will be interesting to see if it just disables tags or allows for labelling aswell.

    Ditto- Tags is a sad sister to real color labeling! Make it an option in the next release and restore LABELS, and the ability to sort on them!
