Jan 17, 2014 5:20 AM in response to Madashelluphereby eddy kestemont,Completely agree with you.
I send following comment to Apple feedback
"New tags in Mavericks are useful to filters files and folders BUT are useless as visual aids. Previous coloured folders were much more efficient. Thanks for putting this fonctionnality back."

Jan 19, 2014 12:35 AM in response to Alancitoby suckaboo,Man, I just want to say thanks to user "Alancito".
I've been watching this thread for a while now, and throughout these pages (as well as many, many other forum topics) he regularly chimes in with accurate information, a complete lack of ego, and a genuine interest in helping people.
I only wish all "power users" had as much interest in helping people as they do in racking up as many posts as possible.
Again, THANKS Alancito. And please keep it up!

Jan 20, 2014 4:00 PM in response to Alancitoby Peohguy,Alancito and all other users or wanabe users of colored folders, can you let me know what your system is of how you use the colored folders, do you have a color key so you don't forget what your preferred colors for varios folder categories are? and how many categories do you have? and if you have a key where do you keep it so it is readily available when you are selecting the folder or tag that you are going to use?
I am somewhat helter skelter and often try to get organized but find myself loosing the discipline needed and am trying to get my act together with a system that isn't too complicated but yet has enough elegance to be useful and time saving.
Any help out there for a Mono-Chromatic Cro-Magnon.
Thanx for any help

Jan 20, 2014 4:43 PM in response to Peohguyby Steve Simmons,I used colored labels, not colored folders, but the logic was:
Red - personal
Blue - temporary
Green - work
Anything not explicitly colored was assume to be work. And I only colored folder labels.
As a reminder - the reasons I dislike tags are, in order, a) they reduce the amount of space available to display folder names, and b) they aren't as visible as background colors on labels.
