No, I posted a picture of the current version of Pages (5) you posted a previous version, probably 4.3 (from iWork 09) I would guess.
So I will rephrase, if you keep your software up to date you will find that Save As has been put back and it is not hidden, just as users requested.

Jan 21, 2014 4:25 PM in response to PeterBreis0807by wheetabix,What took me no time at all, it was instantly obvious, now takes careful examination of small overlapping dots not near the other information which is the file name.
Peter
Fair enough. And I definitely agree about the horizontal space between the file name and the tag...

Jan 21, 2014 4:44 PM in response to wheetabixby PeterBreis0807,People will use whatever they can.
…but as a time and motion exercise (as a Studio Manager i worked hard at getting my employees to just get on with it) count the steps involved and also observe as users simply can't find what isn't shown.
Traditional Save As…
command shift s > change name > Save …all without lifting your hands off the keyboard.
Apple's new Save As…
command shift s > Save > change name &/or remove "copy" from name > Save > switch to previous version by clicking on screen > Close > Delete Copy if it had opened a prior version
This new "simpler" sure looks like it has no trousers.

I checked on your other posts.
They have a monotonous repetitiveness to them.

No, I posted a screen shot of Pages 5.01 running in Mavericks OSX 10.9.1.
Both clean installs as of an hour ago.
I repeat. You don't seem to know what you are doing. That was obvious from our previous discussions as well.

Jan 21, 2014 4:43 PM in response to PeterBreis0807by Csound1,Time to get up to date:
Using current Apple Software (Mavericks and its Apps) the command shift S command works exactly as you said it does not.
I don't know is you are deliberately typing misleading statements or if your Mac is just out of date, so.
How old is your computer, what OS version do you run and what version of iWorks (Pages etc) are you using.

Sorry, I don't believe you, I can tell the difference between Pages 4.3 and Pages 5.01, I have and use both.
Pages 5.01
Pages 4.3
We're done, I'll ignore your games from now on.

Huh??? You are a complicated individual, aren't you. Sure, you can close the old one if you want, but the new process just creates a new "duplicate" version in the same directory as the old version. Which is pretty much what you want to do when you Save As...
"Duplicate" process (the artist formerly known as "Save As...")
Command-shift-S, rename, continue working.

Jan 21, 2014 4:49 PM in response to Csound1by PeterBreis0807,See above.
Csound1 you really struggle. If I remember right I showed you exactly what happens when you open Pages '09 templates in Pages 5 and you simply denied what was in front of you.
For your information, I run OSX 10.6.8, OSX 10.8.5 and OSX 10.9.1.
I also run Windows 7 and Linux Mint.
I actually pay attention to what is in front of me, because I do UI design and support amongst many other things.
What is important is what is in front of you and what it does, or doesn't do, not what you would like to imagine it to do.

This happens quite frequently when you open an older file and it gets altered.
