Feb 19, 2014 5:10 AM in response to ulisesagainby Pontotoc Peg,ulisesagain, I sent more feedback to Apple. Most be the 10-15th time. After three months of Mavericks, I re-installed ML & am happy as a clam with my labels; but I know I cannot keep an older OS indefinitely. I am praying for Apple to hear their customers. Let's definitely keep the feedback going. Peg

I think you may not be "Praying right".
Not that I'd know the correct offerings and supplication.
We in the iWork community gave feedback for over 7 years and got totally ignored. Apple chose instead to ship a set of products that trashed users' work and had most of the features removed.
Apple has determined that its users know nothing.
Apple itself maintains a clear, detached perspective of its own products by not using them.

Feb 19, 2014 12:54 PM in response to H Manby Doug-H1955,In a way, for some people, Mavericks is Apple's Windows 8 (maybe THAT will get theiir ears to perk up). I'm willing to hang onto Mountain Lion for as long as I've been hanging onto Windows XP (if I actually have to upgrade from XP, it'll probably only be to Windows 7).
Don't know how long Apple will go before making such a major change in the OS that it actually REQUIRES an upgrade in order to continue. But I haven't seen anything in Mavericks that I consider really worthwhile.
If Apple really wants people to continue to upgrade their systems as they move forward, they will have to address those issues that people consider serious enough (not just Labels, but all the other isues too) to prevent them from doing so.
I imagine that most, if not all, who have posted here have also given their thoughts to Apples Feedback. As Apple DOES provide for that feedback, I'm pretty sure that they are at least aware of everyone's concerns.

Yeah, I hear that they only listen when someone sends the same request over 15 times

Feb 19, 2014 2:10 PM in response to petermac87by Doug-H1955,See: https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/os_x_mavericks
For some reason, people seem to want to post problems they're having with Mavericks there.

Feb 19, 2014 2:17 PM in response to Doug-H1955by petermac87,Changes they do not like and problems caused by hardware failure, incompatable third party software seem to dominate. There are legitimate issues (very few) in fact you have linked to a page with 25 posts on it. With the many millions of Mavericks users in the world, any business would call that an exceptional success. But not you.
Perhaps some other link made give a tiny bit more credit to your failed arguement.
Cheers

Feb 19, 2014 4:07 PM in response to petermac87by Doug-H1955,There is NO failed arguement. SOME people have issues. they ARE posted on the community discussion boards about Mavericks. I don't have to provide YOU with ANYTHING. The link I gave was the FIRST page of the Mavericks discussions.
As YOU noted, "There are legitimate issues". So why are you jumping in caliming a "failed arguement"? Just because there other issues beyond those specifically concerning Mavericks shortcomings doesn't negate their importance.

Feb 19, 2014 4:20 PM in response to Doug-H1955by H Man,Actually thousands of posts in the Mavericks section. Mavericks seems to have much the same Ohs and Ahs as most major OSX upgrades but I am having a lot of trouble without labels. I don't see very well and have used colours extensively since OS7. I skipped early OSX when the function disapeared for a bit - maybe Apple will see again they should bring it back, we can only hope - and keep hitting them with feedback.
