How to turn off autocorrect in iTunes (OSX)?

I've already got Auto-correct deactivated in System Preference > Language & Text > Correct spelling automatically


Yet when I try to correct a band name in iTunes, it automatically defaults to what it thinks is right. It's actually quite frustrating as it's trying to ALL CAPS a band name when I don't want it to.


Worse, is when I typo'd a band name (e.g. bband), and then uncorrected it, it still saved "bband" as an entry.


So how do I out-and-out deactivate this? If anything, this seems like more of a bug than a feature.

I don't think this option exists as autocorrect doesn't extend to editing referenced files within iTunes. However, what you can do is either select 1 track or multiple tracks and right click (or control + click) > Get Info > Artist
