Q: Mavericks corrupts external hard drive

My WD MyBook studio 2TB (fw800) suddenly shows up empty on my desktop after a Mavericks upfrade on my mid 2009 mbp.

Disk Drill is now scanning the WD, and the files are there, about 1,4 TB of it...

How do I get the disc structure back?

I have no Mountain Lion OS-mac to test the WD in..

I had a bootable Mountain Lion on the WD, could that be the problem?

In Disk Drill MyBook has four units; EFI(200Mb), MyBook(1,8Tb), Unallocated 128Mb and Lost partition (200Mb)

iOS 7, Ipad mini + ios7

What's your point (perhaps I've missed it in all the blather)?

Apple sells third-party products which they do not manufacture themselves.

Apparently, some of the companies produces shoddy products.

And, why did you cut this part of the picture off?

    Not this one.

I was not directing that post at yourself, rather to Callhoun.

Basic consumer law however entitles purchaser protection against retailers who sell products that don't work as they have been described.

    Consumer legistlation overides apple warranty.

You just cannot stop from making yourself look sillier, can you? If you have issues, see your solicitor and sue who you wish if that is the type of consumer you are. You sound like like you have that American 'Sue Everyone' mentality so what about you cease giving we Australians a bad name here?

Have a quick check back on your posts mate, one post offering help the rest snide comments.

The post you offered help on, you told the bloke use his backup to revert to old os. He had already stated in the post that his backup was one of the drives deleted.

    Now who's a silly billy.

    Suggest you take a hike

    cheers H.

I know, pretty silly having only one backup. No hike for me. People to help here instead of sue.

As you know.....oh no one has found your posts helpful? Pointless, in more than one way. Seriously think before you post the nonsense and inaccurate statements you have been posting. It is of no use to anybody.

    Cheers

Thats why threads are formed. To read through them. Not clog them up with irrelevant rubbish like you have been doing.
