Mavericks seem slow? Read this!

I installed OS X Mavericks right away on my iMac and MBA 11. No issues at all on my MBA, but my iMac bogged down significantly, especially when running iTunes.

I have two WD NASs connected to my iMac. It turns out that was the problem. There is a f/w update available for them. I installed it and my speed problem with Mavericks went away!

I'm sure there are other peripherals that may cause issues too, but I wanted to share this to help people with their troubleshooting efforts. Check your peripherals, especially your storage devices.

So I guess my question is, what other peripheral issues/solutions do people know about that might need updates for Mavericks?
