Looks like no one’s replied in a while. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question.

It says "an error has occurred" When I go into the mac app store to update to mavericks. it shows the file as downloaded, but its greyed out so I can't do anything with it. Does anyone know what I can do to sort this? Cheers.

Hi mking656,

Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Try these steps if you're seeing an error when downloading OS X Mavericks:

Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing

http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3637

Try the following steps to work around this issue:

  1. Quit App Store.
  2. Wait 10 seconds or more.
  3. Open App Store again.
  4. Navigate to the desired app.
  5. Click Buy.

If the issue persists, try restarting your computer and attempting the app purchase again.
