After upgrade to OSX Mavericks, I get error when I start up:
NTFS-3G could not mount /dev/disk0s4 at /Volumes/BOOTCAMP because the following problem occurred:
/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs/Support/fusefs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). the MacFUSE file system is not available (71)
I need some help in fixing this error.

Works like a charm, thanks Jirka. I want to add that whilst installing NTFS 3G, you need to select "custom" and un-select MacFuse.
This ONLY works for Seagate hard disks. Please include that information in your post.
Dear Krishna, many thanks, my NTFS Western Digital hardrive works with this, so not only Seagate. I posted it as it seems to be an easier solution, but it may that it only works on a case-by-case basis depending on which drive you have. Best regards.
Interesting. It doen't work on my WD HD. So, one needs to check case-by-case, I guess.

I have tried to remove MacFuse from my System Preferences, going into what it calls the MacFuse Control Panel (closing and reopening System Preferences) and clicking the Remove MacFUSE button, but the pesky thing just remains there.
What's the secret in removing it correctly?

no GUI, all command line install, so how do I "custom" install and "uncheck MacFuse" ???????
The latest NTFS-3G has no install GUI, it's all command line install code, so I can't "select custom install" and "uncheck MacFuse"
Are you guys seeing a graphical (drag/drop) install GUI? Where'd you get it? My download was just a .tgz file that I unarchived and it had a ton of files and directions for a command line full install (which presumably would include MacFuse? IDK.)
If not, how do I custom install (without MacFuse) through terminal command line install (please give exact syntax of code)
