How can I gain permission to use ItunesConnect?

Yesterday I bought a one year membership in the Mac Developer program. I recieved the email from Apple, activated my email, and then recieved another email from them saying the payment cleared and that I'm now in the developer program. When I try to log into ItunesConnect, it tells me that my Apple ID doesn't have permission to access it. When I try and validate my apps in Xcode it tells me that it could not find any registered user with my Apple ID.
