Display artifacts in Mavericks

Is anyone else seeing an issue with video artifacts in Mavericks? It's like a bunch of digital garbage on the screen. Seems to be a refresh issue. It's showing up in patches and clears off if you move windows/apps over the affected areas.

Macbook pro 15" mid-2010 with high-res display.

Same thing here, but with a 2012 15" MBP with retina display.

I've also noticed that this only happens when my pre-Thunderbolt 27" Cinema Display is connected. To clarify... this happens on both the Cinema Display and the MBP's display, but only when the Cinema Display is connected. Otherwise, no issues at all on the Macbook.

Tried a completely clean reinstall of Mavericks, and it's still happening.

I haven't tested with another Cinema Display yet to rule that out, but I'll update once I do.

Just to follow up on my earlier post...

It turns out that this only occurs when the OS is using my NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M instead of the built-in Intel graphics. The Cinema Display really has nothing to do with it, other than the fact that it seems to force my computer into using the NVIDIA graphics.
So if I disable "Automiatic graphics switching", I see the same artifacts on the MBP's display even when the Cinema Display is not connected. That said, the glitches do seem to be worse on the Cinema Display than they are on the MBP's display when both are connected.

Here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing:

You can see some white-ish artifacts below my Chrome window, and a big transparent block in my Terminal.

Yeah I also get the same corrupt display artifacts, they also have only appeared since the Mavericks update.

I've also got the same MacBook Pro model (15-inch, Mid 2010, Processor 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3, Graphics Intel HD Graphics 288 MB).

It's definately a software issue. The temporary fix that corrects my display is the > System Prefs > Energy Saver > Untick/re-tick "Automatic graphics switching". It instantly corrects the display. It's a pain in the *** but better than a reboot.

Hopefully an update fix will be along soon.

Hello ive had a similar problem except my screen blackedout. I have a 2007 macbook pro 17 inch a1229 model I believe. I installed mavericks... everything ran perfectly fine until my laptop went to sleep so I thought it was normal. I went to go turn my laptop on... all I got was a black screen. I can see things moving but the diaplay is dark and I plugged it to an external display and that works fine. I wonder if irs a hardware or software issuesm I hope someone can figure out the solution for this... I may retry installing the older OS to see if it works... or.... thanks guys.
