Strange quotation marks in Pages 5.0

I found a workaround for this. Highlight the line break and assign it a different font.

I'm not sure what font is being used above but I have the same problem when using OptimusPrinceps. I tried two other custom fonts and they didn't have this issue so it can't be a problem for all custom fonts... 😕

Thanks. I tried copying the text I need in that font from another program and pasted it in to Pages and it worked. But as soon as you press "enter" after a line, those quotation marks reappear. Luckily I just need the font in a part of the document where I won't be editing it, so this suggestion may work for me.

I was having the same problem (quotation mark showing at the end of every line) when opening and working on documents I had created in an older version of Pages.

I couldn't figure out how to edit or delete my 1st (previous) reply, but I didn't explain my problem correctly, so I want to clarify in this 2nd reply.....
The quotation mark issue was caused by a font and NOT due to the documents being created in an older version of Pages. So here is what my 1st reply should have said:

I was also having the problem of a quotation mark showing at the end of every line while using a font called "BastardusSans"..... but highlighting the quotation mark and changing the font (I used Arial) made the quotation mark disappear. 🙂

You need to upload your graphic again. Use the camera icon.

What font is being used?

Same problem here with Optimus Princeps. I haven't tried any other custom fonts and have not seen this using the standard fonts.

Did anyone figure out a way to get around this problem?

Aside from using a different font, try copy/pasting from another app like textedit.
