Macbook Air - 13" - i5 Haswell 2013 - Battery Life Question

So I just got my new Macbook Air 2013 13 inch, and on OS X Mountain Lion, I got about 10/11 hours on 100% battery. Whereas on OS X Mavericks, I got 14hrs on 80%. Have they added battery life improvements or somthing, or is it just co incidence? My brightness is always half full and both times I checked nothing else was running.

Thanks a lot,

Sam

yes, HUGE IMPROVEMENT now with Mavericks on battery life due to minimized APP power management

I'm also experiencing the same boost in battery life (2013 MBA 256 GB i5 Haswell). Running Word, Endnote x7, Safari, iTunes and more for 14+ hours on a single charge with ease. I've used my macbook air for over 6 hours today and only dropped 30% in battery capacity. So the results in the picture are a good example of the improvement in battery life!
