Nov 30, 2013 8:37 AM in response to don3707by fandumac,For me, mail "works", i.e. it starts, but with the same settings that I had in MacOS 10.6.8, neither imap nor pop accounts can be accessed. Passwords entered in "Internet Accounts" get forgotten. On my iMac, still on 10.6.8: no problem. I am fed up with Apple Mail under Mavericks.

Nov 30, 2013 2:13 PM in response to don3707by Eric Root,Troubleshooting sending and receiving email messages
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.

Dec 1, 2013 1:51 AM in response to Eric Rootby fandumac,Thanks, I did send feedback.
The keychain reset did not help either, so I switched back to my old keychain using terminal (cd ~/Library/Keychains) and renaming the "renamed keychain" back to the original, because I had many items in it.
The problem may be in the "Local Items" folder that I cannot access, because it uses a password that I don't know. I also could not remove this bl... folder.
