How do I post images here?

Sometimes only an ilustration will do. Unfortunately, nothing I try works. I've tried copying and pasting using both Grab, the basic Apple tool, and Grabbit, another tool for copying, but I have been unable to post any images. When I click on REPLY, the text, but not the image gets posted. What's the answer?
