Canon Image Runner 5045 and OSX 10.9

I upgraded to Mavericks and now can't print with my Canon Advanced Image Runner 5045, it keeps saying:

Open error.
Switch the printer off and on, and then start the print job again.: 16013

Tried that and nothing!

That output is Postscript code and would indicate that you have created a printer using a Postscript driver instead of the UFRII driver - and your ADV C5045 does not have the Postscript option installed.

My guess is that you also have the Canon PPDs and/or the Canon PS driver installed on this Mac and you selected either one of these PPDs when you added the printer. So you should remove this printer and add a new one, ensuring you select the correct PPD. It will be listed in the Printer Software window as "Canon iR-ADV C5045/5051"

This solved my problem - setting up a new printer with the Generic PS driver.

Cheers
