Photo stream and Mavericks

Having a syncing issue with my photos since the upgrade to Mavericks. I have all the stuff that was previously in my photostream, but that terminology doesn't even show up in the side bar in iphoto anymore. I do see icloud under SHARED, but no photo stream as before, therefore, no photos are being upload to my photo stream. Yes it is turned on on all my devices and in iphoto, I have restarted all of the devices and iphoto. Shouldn't it still say photo stream someplace in the left side menu bar? Thanks for any tips/suggestions!

Photo stream/iPhoto does not seem to work the same way in Mavericks as in the previous OSX. When photos are added to "My Photo Stream" or to "Photos" they are not also added to my Shared Photo Stream. iPhoto had this capability prior to the Mavericks update. I have cycled through all my settings, restarted every device and no luck. The only way I can share photos now is to manually place them in the shared photo stream.

Am I missing something?

Not sure I understand the difference between My Photostream and Shared Photostream. Can you elaborate?

My PhotoStream is your private Photo Stream for transferring photos between all your own devices. Only you can see the photos. Shared PhotoStreams can be used to share seelcted photos with other persons that you invite to share the stream. See:
