Mac Mavericks

Hi I got a Mid 15 inch 2010 Macbook Pro and I just update the new Mac Mavericks and when I done with the update,My macbook start to lost a lot of storage and when i boot my mac on it always goes so slow.Can anybody tell me what happened?😕
