Q: OS x Mavericks

I downloaded OS x Mavericks and now I can't open Iphoto. All of my photos were organized in iphoto. What do I do now? If there is no solution, how do I remove Mavericks and go back to what I had? Thank you.

I have os x 10.9 but I don't see it on the drop down menu

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

You can right or control key click on the iPhoto Library and inside is a folder called Originals or Masters which you can use Finder > Duplicate and move the copy containing your original files to a external storage drive for safekeeping while your atempting to fix your problem.

Rebuild iPhoto database

I can't access anything in iphoto. it says it doesn't work with this version of Mac OS x. It's not a question of rebuilding anything or fixing anything. I had no idea it would make iphoto not usable! :-(

I'm sure my photos are still in here, also backed up on an external drive and carbon copy cloner. I just think I need another photo application that does work with Mavericks. Is there one?
