Sep 27, 2014 10:32 AM in response to pushdjpushby Eric Root,Apple doesn’t routinely monitor the discussions. These are mostly user to user discussions.
Send Apple feedback. They won't answer, but at least will know there is a problem. If enough people send feedback, it may get the problem solved sooner.
Try Force Quitting Finder to see if that helps (command - option - esc).

May 22, 2015 12:01 PM in response to pushdjpushby charlee0417,Another thing to add... Not only does it take ages to move 3 files into another folder.
When there are only 3 files, the finder states that it is moving 4 files.
As I design alot, the time taken to browse my stock photos is taking forever to open/load the images.
i never had this problem, in my 11 years of using a Mac, not even on my iMac and MacAir.
I am running 10.10.3 - Macbook Pro 15"
2.4ghz, Intel Core i7
250gb and i currently have 73gb left still, finder usually takes time when there is not enough space on the system or loading external hard drives.
It is very concerning for me as this mac has crashed twice for no reason to a blue screen and i had to reformat and restore everything.
I am doing a timemachine backup every hour especially when i am done with something important the whole of today.
Will not using the laptop often have cause this issue somehow? The only thing i found is that i have not used this laptop that regularly this year, but I use to use my Macbook Pro daily for all my work, till i bought my MacAir and i only use this laptop once a week or once in two weeks for the past 3 months.
Any advise?
