What is your question?
By the way, I have been using it for two days now and really enjoying it.

Works here. You must have a poor install, or did not prepare your disc properly to upgrade.

I'm Glad it works for you - And Yes I prepared my disk right -Peace x

My right click on an email attachment (I admit I don't have a video attachment to try) works just fine. One of the choices is "Open With ...", so I asume video attachment would work. Perhaps you can check System Preferences > Trackpad (if you are right clicking using a trackpad) or System Preferences > Mouse (if you are using a mouse) to see that right click is set up correctly.

Plenty goes on in the background in Mavericks. For example, software updates are done in the background, so that may be occupying your machine. Once a new Operating System is loaded, if you use Time Machine, quite a bit of time and effort will be expended on that first backup, which is a complete copy of your disk.

If you find it too buggy, then reinstall your previous system from your backup you did before the Install of Mavericks.
Cheers
