Oct 24, 2013 4:54 PM in response to sbermanby DonnaThink,That is how my all day events look as well. It is my timed evets that are the struggle. I need to see the begin and end times to coordinate carpooling, so I add them to the titles and hide the light gray iCAL times.
On Maverik, I cannot find the ability to hide the light gray time stamp in preferences where it used to be.

Oct 24, 2013 6:52 PM in response to DonnaThinkby sberman,Thanks, I understand now!
The way I can hide my time stamp on the right side is to shrink the size of the window silghtly. That time stamp is the first thing to be hidden.

Thanks for that, it is pretty random how that works. Do you know if there's any way to permanently hide the time stamp in month view? I like to have the window larger, but if I do the time stamp re-appears, and I can't read half the title, which kinda defeats the purpose!

Oct 29, 2013 6:23 AM in response to DonnaThinkby duopshebop,I have this same question! I DON'T WANT THE EVENT TIME TO SHOW ! I often just put my events anywhere on my calendar and have them take up 3 or 4 hours just so they show up larger, disregarding the times on the calendar, but rather typing my own times in at the beginning. So, having the actual calendar event time show is very confusing. Before the update, you could UNCHECK, show event times. NoW that option does not exist!! There must be a way to go into the system, and disable this function, however I am not computer literate enough to know how to do it without specific instructions. DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW HOW TO DO THIS??? Thanks in advance!!

Oct 29, 2013 6:46 AM in response to Gat0rby duopshebop,If I were to install that app, would it automatically put all my stuff in? Or do I have to Export it? Thx
-
Oct 29, 2013 2:20 PM in response to duopshebopby Gat0r,It automatically links to your ical information and will update immediately once you link it to your icloud account.
It is expensive though, $49.99 when I bought it a couple years ago. But they have kept up with all OS and other updates and updates are free.

Oct 30, 2013 8:55 AM in response to duopshebopby Leed34232,Just go under preferences and general tab and unckeck show event times and that removes it from your calendar
-
Oct 30, 2013 9:13 AM in response to Leed34232by duopshebop,Unfortunately, that option is NO LONGER available after MAVERICKS UPDATE. If you read my original post, I did mention that. IF THERE IS AN APPLE PERSON READING THIS DISCUSSION, PLZ OFFER A WAY TO GO INTO THE SYSTEM AND GET RID OF THE TIME STAMP OPTION IN ICAL THX

Dec 2, 2013 3:32 PM in response to DonnaThinkby statman1950,I agree that the pre-Maverick option "uncheck show event times" is a critical fix.
The event times are already shown by the location in the calendar, so the
reduncant information is not critical. But being able to fit 2 lines of text in
the view is critical to usefulness.
Apple, please?
