Upgraded to Mavricks yesterday. Was closing some windows and ran across a dialog box that asked if I wanted to perform a copy function using Accessibility. Seemed strange, so I said Deny. Now in my System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Accessibility is a app named "applet" that is unchecked. What is this "applet" or how do I find out what it is. Is it possible I just pressed a stange sequence of keys?
If this happened to me, here's what I would do:
Go to System Preferences > Accessibility and check the box on the bottom that says "Show Accessibility Status in Menu Bar".
Then click on the status icon in your menu bar and see if there's something unusual or unexpected there.
If not, delete the applet from Security & Privacy > Accessibility.
Are you using SuperDuper or an any app that runs on an Applet downloaded from the web?
If so you need to keep that check marked.
