Macbook Pro with error on download and then stuck application

I purchased iDraw from the App Store a week ago. The download was never completed and every attempt ended towards the very end of the download with the following error message: "iDraw failed to download. Use the Purchases page to try again." I made several attempts, but without any success. I tried to reboot and log back in, I tried going via the Purchases Page, I even deleted the unfinished download. Nothing helped. I then contacted via email Apple's customer service, and their advice were the same as what I had already tried on my own before contacting them. I have upon request been refunded the purchase charge.

I now have an unfinished and refunded application that I can not even delete from my account/MacBook Pro.

Can anyone on this forum help me get rid of the stuck app?

Thank you in advance for any help or advice you can offer.
