iTunes 11.1.2 has trouble downloading large video podcasts

On OX10.9 Mavericks, iTunes seems to be having a lot of trouble downloading large video podcasts. I get a lot of 9006 errors. When I try to restart the download, it never resumes. It always strarts from the beginning again. The little spinning arrows next to the podcast name in list view don't spin any more either, which just seems odd. Anyways, I end up getting the podcasts eventually, but I have to try several times.

This forum software doesn't seem to accept when I tell it to say I am using Mavericks. I pick the option, and it just goes back to the default. I don't know...
