Howard Stern Show podcasts not syncing to my iphone

I download the Howard Stern show daily and import them into iTunes. I have changed the media kind from music to podcast and when I try to sync it to podcasts on my iPhone 4 it will not show any of the episodes on the phone. When I check on the "On This iPhone" in iTunes, it shows all the episodes I am trying to sync. Has anyone ever tried to to manually transfer podcasts in this manner?
