How do I delete a photo folder on my iphone that I copied from my computer?

Hello,

I have moved over 1000 photos from my laptop b copy/paste to a new folder I created in my iphone pictures. Now I want to delete them but the iphone will not let me do it.

When I plug in my phone to the computer I cannot see that folder at all. does anyone one know how to remove this New Folder?
