multiple profiles on iOS device

Hi there,

I just start looking in to Apple Configurator and noticed that it allows to install multipole profiles on an iOS device. But each profile can have a different set of settings e.g wi-fi... How can I switch between profiles on my iOS device? What is the purpose of havnig a few profiles installed on a device?
