meta http-equiv="refresh"

Hello! i'm an engineer in Juniper Networks. Right now is under delivering new project with wifi.

We use redirect capability in meta tags (meta http-equiv="refresh") to redirect subscriber to customers portal.

So customer device if it tries to connect to wifi SSID (or types anything in browser address string) receives portal address in meta tag meta http-equiv="refresh". And it looks like:

<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5; url=http://example.com/"> (i can provide pcap file as well)

While receiving new redirected address the Safari Browser is halted and never get alive again (macbook pro) or radio wifi is getting disconnected from SSID (iphone)

So the question is it known bug ?

metahttp-equiv="refresh" is supported on apple devices ?
