Sent messages goes in the trash after Maverick update

Good morning to all

After installing Maverick, the system is slower but not to the point of risking drastic measures. Only one point is unsettling.

When sending an email (with the funcion answer to) instead of being in my "sent messages" box I found my mail in the trash.

I then selection it in the trash and send it again. Seems to work.

But why doesn't it show in the "sent messages" box?

It happens only with google mail account in Mail.

Anybody encountered this problem?

It doesn't seem to happen with iCloud mail.

Hi Cathy,

I have the same thing happening with my gmail in mail.

did you find a solution?

also friends were getting same email multiple times, maybe I was hacked so I changed my password, still too early to tell if that solved it.

Looks like Mail app is full of bugs.

Hi Peter

No unfortunately I didn't find a solution. I think it's a problem of GMail because this happens also in the webmail of my google account. So Mail is not the problem.

Other strange behaviour, my sent messages are duplicated in the draft box.

I didn't have time to go to my account in line yet.

I think the problem must be solved in your Gmail account on the web.

I let you know if it can be resolved there
