Import mbox files to Mail.

Hi

I exported in Mountain Lion with Mail my maliboxes to mbox files. Now i try to import them to Mail in Mavericks.

But Mail says that no valid mbox filea are found.

When I import the files via Apple Mail option, the I can choose which boxes has to be imported. After that the message not all mails could be imported. The imported ones I can find in the folder imported in the Mailbox. But its just a standard message. No mails have been imported.

What can I do?

Try to drag/drop directly into Mail app and see if it works.

Already tried. It's not possible.

There is no area where I can drop it. When I drop it on the icon in the dock, it becomes an attachment in a new mail.

Can't use that. Because I have an own server. And haven't transfered the old user accounts.

There is always an conflict between the old and new ones, when I import the old ones. Same in calendar and contacts.

But calendar and contacts worked with the exported files.

I have a server too and it worked perfect to recover mails with Time Machine. And also to use accounts. Whats steps did you do?

OK I copied the old user folder files to a temporary directory and imported to mail.

It works.
