Ive had my new macbook pro for 19hours.

    Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013

Processor  2.8 GHz Intel Core i7

    Memory  8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3

    500 GB Flash Storage

Ive had 3 cursor freezes. 1 applications including finder not opening from the dashboard and this glitchy thing. The only way I was able to get rid of that phantom application bar was to restart my mac.

My MBP is 15" late 2008 Core Duo 2 .  I faced reeOng hundred times since upgrading to Mavericks,

One solution is to turn off BLUETOOTH. Once I have done so, I stopped receiving freezings, at least till now.

I have the same trackpad/keyboard freezing error. Had it for five times during 2 days. And they have happened on different occasions, no similarities between the cases. I have the MacBook Pro 13", Retina, Late 2013, 16 Gb RAM running on Mavericks OS X 10.9 (13A2093).

I got the same issues, freezing trackpad/keyboard error, about 10 times for a week. I've already changed my MacBook Pro, as I thought it was a hardware problem. But when I see all these posts, I'm pretty sure, it isn't. I have the new MacPro Retina 13" with i5 2,4, 4 GB, 128GB 10.9 Mavericks.

Now, when I'am reading this, I'am thinking about this.

After first boot of my new macbook I directly turned off bluetooth and all was fine till this morning with the first freeze. Because I wanted to use Airdrop this morning, I turned on bluetooth and didn't turne it off. After about one hour there was the first freeze.

    Perhaps there is a coherence?

Can anybody else confirm this or test it?

so the keyboard and trackpad freezing is confirmed as a software thing (i hope apple tells the truth).

what about the glitching / little graphic errors / flinkering coloured or grey lines at the bottom right screen

some users had the same and i think it is a common error too, cause it is just for a second or so and maybe the most people do not recognize it.

i had a little grey line across my screen for a second, some flinkering lines at the bottom right arround the dock, also for a second and the same above the dock at the bottom left side. this happens just for a second and it is hard to see because the user is aware of other things on the screen.

it may has to do with the system or account settings, the glitches happend when i was changing my system and account preferences. windows os had the same problems from time to time. changing wallpapers or other system settings seems to show up some problems from time to time.

should we open a new thread about this ? would be great if you guys can post if you see those little graphic flinkering / glitches.

i by myself think it is not a hardware problem ...

This may confirm what I wrote it is USB bus related issue. I do not think so it is hardware. All systems with USB 3 bus show symptoms more or less. I have older Early 2013 no Hashwell system and it froze twice so far. Now I connected Bluetooth mouse and will try to use it for one day. Previously prior to Mavericks upgrade mouse caused bluetooth freezes and some other wired behaviour. I will post results if any. You can go to About this Mac -> System report and check your USB bus and you will see that Bluetooth and its devices are on same USB hub as Trackpad and Internal keyboard.

I would do so. I worked quite many hours yesterday on my rMBP and never saw this. But that doesn't mean anything as we learned. My rMBP did not freeze for many hours as well - but then still did.

It would be great if a way could be found to reproduce the graphic errors. But I do not see how changing system settings could be responsible for this, unless you were changing screen resolution or something alike.
