The Haswell USB 3.0 bug had been fixed about several months ago... All new rmbp should have c2 Haswell chips.

    Source on this?

Yay for Apple giving an update...

Boo for Apple not confirming either hardware or software.

Monday is my personal deadline, at which point I'll return it and wait until there is new information and purchase after everything is fixed...

Somebody with bootcamp should open CPU-Z and see if he gets C1 or C2 like in this image 03MNm0V.jpg

    Thanks leoly.

However, is this confirmed?  Are all the late 2013 13" rMPR now running c2 chips?  If so, at least this disqualifies one concern!

Is it possible for users of these machines to check the type of chip in their machine?  Anyone's feedback / findings to this is appreciated.

It seems unlikely that theese would have the bug as pointed out above...

Which means people screaming hardware because of the Haswell C1 are 6 months late to the party...

(Breath of fresh air to find that out...)

Are you experiencing any high frequency buzzing noises at maximum brightness or at about 80% brightness? The buzzing noise at 100% brightness is actually very noticeable and headache inducing.

Visit my discussion thread for videos on the buzzing issue I'm experiencing:

I hope I just got a defective unit so I can get it exchanged for one without this issue.

I am so worried about that.

My macbook pro I7, 8G, 256 GHz is coming on Monday and after reading all these issues I become worried.

I hope to be software issues but I don't think so because if so it should all macbooks that have Mavericks have the same issues, so I am 70% sure that the issues are hardware which I don't wish.

I got lost and I will cry for my $2600 .

hopfully apple will solve the issue soon.

My Macbook Pro Retina 13 (i7 2.8 / 16GB / 512GB) doesn't have the freezing keyboard/trackpad issue. I've been browsing the web, installing applications, watching videos, listening to music for the past 24 hours without any of the issues listed in this thread. The only defect I have is the buzzing noise I get at 80% and 100% brightness. Going to return it for a new one but I'm afraid I'll get one that has these hanging issues.

I went to the apple store today, I opened the Console of one of the new late 2013 MBp 13" and... no errors, nothing at all... Just the normal logs activities.

it seems to me like it depends on how you are lucky.

not all MBP late 2013 has the same problems, so I have to wait till I get my MBP.

Hey everyone, this is not good...

Bought my first MBP Retina / 13" / i7 / 8G / 512MB last weekend. Awesome experience, then system hanged on 2nd day. Happened 3 more times for next 3 days. Called Apple Support and they said they will replace.

Went back to Apple Store this afternoon and they replaced the laptop. I asked if this 'frozen screen' issue has happened to others and they said no. Ok, cool, so three hours after. powered up the new laptop and what do you know, frozen system again on my 2nd hour of use!

Hope they find a fix for this soon..not sure, two brand new laptops with same issue..
