    Interesting, thanks for sharing.

Did you check via console or terminal?

I checked via console. There are other messages, but not the "Trackpad Keyboard USB...".

I have the i5 2.6/16/512 and have freezes and the lines inside the log.

Are you sure you were not logged in as Guest on that 2.6?

I assume, you opened up the console and did not select "system.log" on the left side? Or noticed whether it was greyed out?

A very simple fix what they could do at the stores is to deny read access to that file. Of course it would not fix anything, but people would not see the message on the console.

    That's why I ask.

Is Apple starting to test the fix by installing it on the display devices? Strange that after so many days of really everybody having at least the kernel messages now on the same day devices show up which do not have the kernel reporting wake-up-calls ...

Well, I just double checked and Oli is right. They somehow managed to grey out the system.log. That's a "quick fix"...

I didn't realize it because there were only two accounts shown and the other one is the guest account. So I assume the one logged in is "Admin", but it's not. And I don't know how to grey out the system.log, for example, on the mac I'm using for my work I don't have admin previlidge and I can't see the system.log either, but it's not greyed out.

And the all the models I checked were 8G, 2.4 GHz.

I will get my 13 inch mac book in 3 days, but i dont want a broken system.

So I will return it in time and buy a new one after (hardware or software) is fixed by apple.

    In case theres no update:

Can I unpack the mac, work on it and finally return it ? (after 10 days)

    or shouldn't I even unbox it ?

and can somebody tell me if the deadline starts after receiving or purchasing the book ?

Not sure if this is related to the trackpad/keyboard issues (which i have been experiencing) but sometimes in Safari when i try to go to a previous page using the trackpad 2 finger swipe, safari freezes up and I cant click on links or scroll up/down the page.  However, other apps such as iTunes work fine in terms of clicking/scrolling leading me to believe its a problem in Safari.  I just called support and he at first didnt hear of the original trackpad issue (can u believe it?!!) but then after looking it up he thought my Safari issue was related.

    Any thoughts anyone?

Hi I've had the same problem 3 times in the past week.

Here is what it says in the console.
