    For keyboard/trackpad freeze, Let's hope it's a software issue(looks like it is).

For display IR, I heard about Samsung is better than LG, I don't know which one was fitted in my Macbook, but after I done the IR test, NO IR spot. so far so good.

I have the same problem. Australian owners should note - we are covered by 2-year federal statutary consumer protection legislation. This means you have no need to rush in asking for repair/replacement.

Same here. It's happening about once every 6-8 hours of use. 16GB RAM. 512GB SSD. Not when doing anything in particular. Just happened 10 minutes into use, while opening a pretty basic web page. Annoyance but not life changing yet. Assuming it will be easy to replicate for Apple and fix. Still love this thing.

I would also Like to know if I get a new mac would I be able to transfer microsoft office to another mac?

This issue needs to be resolve ASAP.

I paid $1499.99 is to much for a computer that has issues in less than a day.

I just got mine for 2 days, no keyboard/track pad stop working problem yet.

But there is a lot of keyboard error message in the system log.

I went to the apple store, checked the same model demo laptop, no a single error message found about keyboard or track pad, and its not a guest account. very strange?

regarding to the C1 thing, is there any conclusion yet? any one can confirm their late 2013 rMBP is 100% using C1 stepping?

I saw people reported on internet that the CPU-Z may not give correct information:

Just confirmed the scenario as a known issue with Apple Support over the phone. They currently do not have an ETA for this but have a tracking entry for it here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS5296

Wanted to chime in here so Apple gets the point, but glad to know I'm not the only one. Retina Haswell 13", 8gb ram, 256gb. Hoping that a patch will be put out asap, because the freeze/hanging seems regular and is becoming more frequent in nature, several times a day at the least.

The only fix seems to be closing the mb for some time then hoping it becomes responsive again...

    Another one here!

During download, at some time Mouse and Keyboard become unresponsive, and the mouse cursor disappear.

My configuration is 13"/2.4/8GB/256GB bought in Japan

When can Apple resolve the problem?

They confirmed it to be a software issue and will most probably be following up with a firmware update whenever that is.

People keep calm... they are working on a fix !!

If it takes more time than you imagine and if you think they are slow... it's just because they're developing the firmware/patch using the new Macbook Pro 13 and sometimes (rarely to be honest ) their laptops freeze...

    Capture.JPG

    I don't know is this indicate its a C1 or C2 stepping?

so for no keyboard /trackpad problem, but lots of error message in the logs.

    its late 2013 model rMBP 13 inch, i7 2.8G/ 512G / 16G model.
