Well, from what I've read all through this thread, ever since the update, people have had no trackpad/keyboard freezes. Many say that their new 13-inch rMBP is a great product. You probably have a faulty machine. I'm purchasing tomorrow.

Just when I thought everything was perfect, some new problems have started occuring today

    1. Battery life

About only 3-4 hours. Nowhere near the 9 hours mentioned even with minimal usage. Tried the hacks reported by other users but no effect.

    2. Laggy scrolling

While using Chrome, the performance is a bit lagging, the scrolling is not perfect. This is weird because if I use Safari, it just disappears.

Anyone else here having similar issues?

Yes, i read that a lot of problems are related to Chrome so it is possible. About battery life no problem, i can use it up to 10Hrs...

10 hours?? ****! Configuration and usage? In the battery meter, does it show 10 hours remaining?

No surprise. Chrome is a huge drain on resources.

From where I sit, it looks like plenty of people are still having problems with the freeze—even after implementing the fix, even with buying a brand-new machine. The only thing that gives me pause (hope) is that this thread is no longer at the top of the list in the forum every hour.

So, you are suggesting to use Safari only?

My particular crash issue seems to have been solved by NOT using Safari. I've switched to Chrome for the last few days with no crashes (I'm experiencing the "system locks up, but mouse still moves" crash).

I originally thought this was related to flash, but I experienced a crash after uninstalling it. I would recommend not using Safari and see if your problems persist.  Hoping a system/safari update will come in soon so I can move back to safari from chrome.

Personally I prefer safari over chrome. I don't have flash installed, so I open chrome to view flash content and close it after. If you obsessively watch activity monitor (or install htop) like me, you'll notice both browsers memory leak. So when safaris taking over a gigabyte of memory (!!!) I'll quit safari and reopen it. I've been getting 11-13 hours of battery life when I'm NOT watching videos.

    rMBP 13 Late 2013  2.4/8/256

Battery meter shows  12,5Hrs and if i use Safari, applications like twitter, news reader, work with files or some documents the battery life is up to 10hrs without problems.

In 21 days of hard work only one freeze before the release of EFI update.

I like it very much !!!

Wow! That is really great! I did some hacks suggested by forum users and have started to see a decent 6-7 hours of battery life but not that much yet. Luck you

I too have had one freeze since applying the patch, only one in week or so, I can handle that.
