Is this exactly the same freeze? Trackpad and keyboard freeze but OS/system still keeps running?
Or is this a slightly different sort of freeze?

I just had another keyboard/mouse freeze on my haswell rMPB for the first time since installing the fix. Closing the lid for a few minutes didn't help this time. So the problem is still there, it's just not as common any more.

OMG! This is getting a bit freaky. More people have started to report random freezes. I have not had any yet. #fingers crossed

I just got mine, played around for few hours, haven't experience any freeze, but I do see the same error message appearing in my console everytime i move my mouse.  I just want to get rid of it, so annoying.

I had a post-update freeze as well. It happened while using Chrome. The close the lid trick did not work. I had to reboot. I am also getting lousy battery. When my daughter plays the flash based games on pbskids.org the battery lasts just a couple of hours. Seriously considering returning it.

I must add that so far we have been using this mbpr13 very much to do the same things we did with the mid 2009 mbp up until a couple of months ago. The battery drain seems worse on mbpr13 which is very strange indeed. I will try to implement some of the advice I found here, but to me it looks like trying to circumvent an issue, not fixing it for good.

Can some of you people PLEASE CLARIFY IF THE POST-UPDATE FREEZE IS THE SAME OR DIFFERENT. That is, is it a trackpad/keyboard freeze or a whole of system freeze or something else? It's making things very confusing with people saying stuff like "I had a post-update freeze", "mine froze after the update" etc. etc. People have reported a lot of different types of "freezes" in this and other forums and not all of them are this trackpad/keyboard freeze - it would be helpful if you could specify if it's EXACTLY THE SAME type of freeze (keyboard/trackpad) or something different. Thanks

I uninstalled flash on my Mac, and the crashes reduced by alot. Sometime it crashes about 2-3 times a day, but after the unstallation, it crashed one time yesterday, and no crash so far today

I was just complaining about how slow my new mac was a couple days ago but now all of a sudden, today it is fast again. It is behaving like it did day one. hopefully this has happened to lots of other people too!

My MacBook is now returned. When I exchanged it the first time the salesman told me that he had never heard of the problem, and after inquiring behind the wall said the techs did not know either. I did not actually speak to the Geniuses as they were booked for a couple of days. Returning it the second time, the replacement that is, I got exactly the same story, which seems odd as I had told them about the problem a few days earlier. This kind of disconnect is a Very Bad Sign to me. Either the store has poor internal cohesion or they are simply being dishonest. Either way make me squirm. I have a fair bit of Apple stock and much less confidence in the future of the company. I am considering my options.

Hi there, this is my first post and I may be way off with helping anyone but I thought I'd share my experience anyway. I bought the 15" top spec model last week and I had a bit 4 freezes but then realised it was just the track pad and keyboard which became unresponsive and after reading some of this thread thought it was freezing because I didn't have a USB plugged in. I then tried to find the problem and found out the track pad and keyboard freeze/becoming unresponsive was because my apple Id password wasn't correct on the app store. After I reset my password, I haven't experienced any freeze. I realise the chances of all of your trackpads becoming unresponsive due to the same problem I had is very unlikely dur to the amount of people experiencing this problem but I hope this can help someone out there.

I hope the problem is fixed soon.

If yours freezes with app store, it could just be your entering the wrong password for Apple Id. That was my problem and mine doesn't freeze anymore.
