hello everybody, my 13" retina macbook is still on the way, but I'm obviously following this thread very closely. As I have mavericks installed on two machines at home (build a603 downloaded from the mac app store), i can give you a little perspective at least on the console logs everybody is checking.

The message you're getting is definitely not an error by itself, the frequency of it could be on the other hand a sign of something wrong. I get the same exact message on my early 2008 mac pro and late 2012 imac, everytime I wake the machines up, and just then, once. So it doesn't pop up by itself multiple times per minute while I'm using them.

obviously both these machines are not laptops so the rate at which the system tries to shut down keyboard and trackpad might be different. In any case, I would be interested to see the results if more people can download mavericks from the mac app store and perform a clean install using build a603, since the problem looks to be very specific to the build included on the retina 13".

    +1

My three-days-old rMBP 13" LATE 2013 (2.6GHz, 8GB, 512MB) has already frozen several times, leaving me with an unresponsive keyboard and trackpad and not being able to killl applications. Only way out has been holding the on/off button for a few seconds and wit for the machine to reboot. Will return the machine if no fix becomes available before the 14 days refund period expires. Already reported the bug to Apple. Thiking about moving to the 15"...

best option is that really everyone is calling apple AND send apple support a mail to report the problem.

i am new to apple and i am really ****** now but at the flip side i think it must be a little software thing and i will wait a few days until i HAVE to bring it back within the 14 days.

call apple and write bug reports with this thread linked !!!

People should also report the issue at http://bugreport.apple.com. This way it goes directly to Engineering.

My late2010 MBA running Mavericks Build 13A603 does not have the problem and also has no errors on console about "The USB device Apple Internal Keyboard / Trackpad ..."

My late 2013 MBP running Mavericks Build 13A2093 has the problem and the errors on the console.

I assume you all have the 13A2093 on your MBPr as well?

Build 13A2093 on my Macbook Pro 13" (freezing issues present).

Can anyone already report back about installing the newer 13A603 Build after seeing the freezing on their 13A2093?

Also, for what it's worth, I've installed Mavericks on my 2011 13-inch MBA and no issues whatsoever.

13A603 won't install over 13A2093.  The only way would be to erase and install, migrating everything back, etc.  I'm not willing to spend the 3-4 hours it would take to do this.  Maybe someone else is/has?

I guess you can install 13A603 on the rMBP then and get rid of the issue?

I've seen some reports earlier in the thread that reinstalling 13A603 from scratch does indeed solve the issue. Now it's up to you I guess if you want to spend those hours or rather wait for Apple to issue a fix.

I must have missed that. Are you sure about this?

Yes, I am sure, however I don't remember the page, as there are so many of them ...
