The keyboard and the trackpad stops working including brigtness keys and volume control keys. i have use apple hardware test but no problem are found.

BrushBrigand, I reckon every 13 inch rMBP hashwell has this problem (about the logs in the console). There are those who experience the problem (freezing of the trackpad/keyboard) and there are those who don't have this (like me for example).

But I'm 99% sure that everyone (new 13" rMBP) has the logs in their console. I'm one of those people who lurk around on the forums just observing and I noticed this thread. I was convinced that I didn't have this issue until someone suggested me to check the console and there it was, the error was constantly showing in the console. Yet I haven't experienced any freezes.

For those claiming that it's a hardware problem. How do you explain the 2008 MBP C2Ds having the same issue, and earlier 2012 MBPs as well after installing Mavericks?

Don't get me wrong, I am open to agree with you, but please give me a logical explanation to that first.

    I also have this issue!

I have the 13" 8GB Haswell MBP, and have been using it for 2 days now. In the last  hour I have had two freezes, which brought me onto this discussion board.

What is the most efficient way of reporting this to Apple? I suppose just phoning in wouldn´t demonstrate how many we are with this problem.

Still, I would phone in to stress out the importance of this issue and how many users are affected. 61 page thread. I think it's quite obvious.

I too have this issue on a brand new 13" MBP w/ Haswell.  Im adding to this thread in hopes that Apple Devs take a look and provide a fix ASAP.

Please call in if possible. I don't think they are reading forums in their work time. Unless the lead engineers don't get this info from the Apple support team, they won't know about it.

Now some users wrote here that Apple Care senior advisors said that they are aware of it...still, I think any phone call is important at this point. Thank you

    guys,

maybe you are active in some sort of apple/mac forum on the internet.
If you are, please start a thread there asking all people with a new 13" rMBP to report whether they have the freezing issue or not. If not, make sure they verify they do not have USB devices plugged in always or most of the time. Also, let them report whether they have the errors on the console.

I started this in my German forum already.

I think it is quite important to know for us, how many devices are affected. If it is just 10%, I will return my device. Why spend lot's of cash on something that is buggy? If it's 50% or more, I tend to believe the support stuff of Apple, that it's more like a software glitch.

I made it and other people have the same issue but didn't know this thread...

I called Apple store, where i bought my Macbook late 2013 6 days ago,  and i asked if they know this issue, the guy said no problem with new MBP Retina and they are not aware of it ( Incredible ). I said to look at internet and on Apple Communities Support because we have problems with this new MBP. Just i cannot beleve it ....
