Can't Scroll In Mail after Mavericks update
Scrolling up or down in Mac Mail is not working - very odd.
Scrolling in all other apps is fine, however.
Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Is this troughout the entire app, both inbox and messages? Sounds like a glitch, not happening to me.
Only in the actual messages themselves. No scrolling in the messages.
Inbox or other boxes, i can scroll fine up and down.
thx.
I am not able to scroll within a message, in the inbox or in the listing of mailboxes. All possible before mavericks. Does anyone know a fix?
I suggest you send Apple a bug report. The only thing I can think of that you could do, would be to enable scroll bars in system prefferences. Although annoying, you'd at least have a temporary fix.
I am not a developer, so I can't get into the site.
Can you suggest another site where I can leave them a bug report?
www.apple.com/feedback
Pick your product, and click the bur report option under feedback type.
If you would rather use the developer bug reporter, a Safari developer license is free, and grants you access.
Apple recieves both types, and sees them equally, difference being a higher probability of Apple contacting you about the issue if you use the developer bug reporter.
I am having the same problem. I'm using an Apple trackpad with my Mac Mini. Scrolling/gestures work with some apps (browsers seem to be okay), but Apple Mail, no scrolling whatsoever, including in the inbox. It's really annoying.
I am having the same problem. No scrolling in Apple Mail since Mavericks update. After two days it's really horrible.
Hold up. Everyone of you having this problem, are you all using external trackpads? People with built in trackpads and external mice also experiencing this?
I am using a built in track pad on a macbook pro.
I have track pad and use wireless mouse. Neither autoscroll in Mail. Have to use scroll bars -- much slower.
Well, there goes that theory. I suggest you all write Apple at www.apple.com/feedb
If you want this fixed here and now, the only thing I can think of, would be a clean install of OS X. This can be done using the network recovery function from the EFI boot menu. hold the cmd+alt and r keys on bootup, delete and repartition your hard drive, and then install OS X trough the menu. Be sure to backup important files first. Note that Time Machine backups might not be the best way of going about this, cause although they will probably work, you might have trouble with Time Machine recognising the machine as the same device. Shoulsn't be a problem, but if your data is super important, it's worth noting.
Have no idea how it happened but I just started answering my mail and I was able to scroll within messages and in the inbox. A miracle!
Any idea what could have caused the problem? Or what may have fixed it?
I've had similar problems using magic mouse. Mail messages won't scroll. So I restarted the computer and it worked fine. Then stopped working. After reading this I decided to try my trackpad (though I've been using a MacPro it's been with a cinema display and external keyboard, mouse). I was able to scroll with the trackpad, and after that worked the mouse worked as well! From scanning these messages seems like it's something that needs attention by Apple.
Same thing here, sent Apple a bug report. Closing and reopening Apple Mail solved the issue only temporarily. Changing the settings to always show the scroll bars (System Preferences => General) as suggested seems to have worked for me, at least for the time being... Then again I'm not sure if this was the solution or that my Apple Mail froze unexpectedly shortly after I changed the setting and opening it again fixed the issue... One way or the other, it's been working for me for the past half hour or so (before, it would work only for a couple of minutes at a time).
