ios 7.3 has made my iMessage even worse than before

So I was having issues before with ios 7.2 where my iMessages would send but not deliver to certain people - but now with the ios 7.3 update which is allegedly meant to get rid of these problems, it's actually made it worse and the messages won't send at all!
