The iTunes 64-bit for Windows is a slightly modified version to run on a Windows 64 bit platform HOWEVER the actual program is not using 64 bit architecture so Windows will recognize it as 32-bit. A program that has a 64 bit version just means that it is compatible with that platform. iTunes for windows is a very buggy program and the stuttering audio tracks may as well just be an issue with the hardware in your computer.

well this is the hardware i have in my laptop

windows 8 operating system

processor: intel(R) pentium(R) cpu b960 @2.20ghz , 2mb l3 cache

installed memory (RAM) 8.00 gb (7.82 gb usable )

system type 64 bit operating system , x64-based processor

750gb hard drive (519gb free space)

just confused because my old 32 bit computer had no problems with itunes and the specs was much less than this laptop
