iMac running OS X 10.9
Trying to print to an HP LaserJet 600 M602
Not working. Searching for print drivers and cannot find any. Is this an Apple issue or an HP issue?
Apple has always put HP Print Drivers in Software Update (which to me makes it an Apple issue).

First, Apple provides via software update drivers supplied by HP and other major vendors. It is those vendors that decide what printers to support on which OS.
The good news is that you printer appears to be supported (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht3669)
Follow the instructions when adding your printer and the SW will be automatically installed.
If you have not had any luck with Software Update, you could try deleting the /Library/Printer/hp folder and reinstalling the updates.
I could try to figure out what caused this if you could send me the folowing files:
/var/log/install.log and /Library/Updates/ProductMetadata.plist

We use these. You need to get the driver from HP. Apple does not natively support them.
