Apple TV dead

Apple TV dead

I am turning on apple TV and the apple symbol comes on screen for 10 seconds then the screen turns blank and nothing happens. Very frustrating- any ideas how I can re-boot? I have held down key and menu for 6 seconds and unplugged as suggest on one forum...

My Apple TV is also down. No light on the controller...... Have updated iTunes, unplugged and repluged, changed power strip.....to no avail. Above support connect did not resolve.
